São João da Guanabara is a graduate project by a plastic artist.
He created an imaginary Estate blending his hometown with the city where he went to university. He envisions himself as the patron saint of this estate and develops a unique saint's souvenir as its first product.
The religious aspect of the project took centre stage, influencing the design approach. A bible-like design was chosen, featuring a cover made of leather and embossed in gold. Satin ribbons in blue and pink, representing the flag of the artist's new Estate, serve as page markers. The edges of the book are painted in gold and the interior of the book follows a structure reminiscent of a bible, further enhancing the thematic elements.
